About SCG Compliance
SCG Compliance is a specialist consultancy led by Stefan Giemza, Director and Owner. Providing practical regulatory compliance advice and support to financial services firms, drawing on extensive experience within broker-dealer, asset managers, banking, exchanges and regulators.
Our approach combines an understanding of regulatory expectations with the day-to-day realities of running a financial services business. We work closely with clients to understand their priorities and deliver clear advice and workable improvements.
Our People
Stefan has more than 25 years of experience in regulatory compliance and financial markets. His background includes senior compliance leadership, advisory work, monitoring and surveillance, and market operations.
He has held roles including Director Compliance EMEA, Chief Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer at RJO Futures; London Compliance Manager at Tullett Prebon; and senior compliance positions at ICAP and MarketAxess. Earlier roles at JP Morgan, SWX Swiss Exchange and the Financial Services Authority provided experience in surveillance, transaction monitoring and market operations. He has also served as Deputy Head of Compliance and Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer at Hibiscus Group.
His experience covers equities, fixed income, derivatives and commodities, with compliance oversight across the UK, Europe, US and Asia. His work has included developing compliance frameworks, designing monitoring and surveillance systems, and supporting regulatory and trading system change.

Stefan works with senior management, compliance and operational teams to understand issues, explain requirements clearly and develop proportionate responses. His focus is on advice that supports sound decisions and controls that work in practice.
